Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, 27/4 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of Tanah Laut Health Agency Junaidi said this year it found 19 cervical cancer patients.
The patients were found to be positively affected by cervical cancer from follow-up examination at the Banjarbaru Hospital, Junaidi said in the Tanah Laut, Thursday.
He considered the number of sufferers is quite a lot, because the previous year did not reach up to 10 patients.
Given these facts, the Health Agency conducted a socialization to mothers in the area about the danger and prevention of the quite dangerous disease.
He said that patients with cervical cancer were averagely married and resided in Sub-district ofPanyipatan.
In fact, from medical examination of 19 patients with cervical cancer, the average has entered the second stage.
The names of patients with cervical cancer, he said, should not be told to the public or should be kept secret like HIV/AIDS patients.
Regent Tanah Laut Bambang Alamsyah appealed to the mothers in the area to conduct medical examinations to avoid the quite dangerous disease.
