Kotabaru , South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - State electricity Company, PLN, asking the Kotabaru District Government to subsidy for buying fuel engine power to serve 894 customers in Sengayam, West Pamukan, Kotabaru.
Branch Manager of PT PLN Kotabaru, M Rizlani, here on Thursday said, beginning April 1 palm oil mill PT Alam Raya Kencana Mas, which supplies electricity to 894 customers in Sengayam, will perform power plant maintenance.
" Maintenance is estimated to take between 3-5 months , so that PLN should hire generators to replace the power plant in the treatment," he said.
Hiring generators, according to Rizlani, require substantial funds , especially to buy fuel generator. To ease the burden of fuel costs and machine rental, PLN expects the district can provide subsidy funds.
"If not, PLN would not know yet, whether to hire the machine or no," he explained.
Last year, the subsidy paid by local government was about Rp65 million. He hopes this time, it even greater.
Previously , Manager of Kotabaru PLN, Basuki Rahman said the company installing connections to over 800 new customers in five villages in the district of West Pamukan. The electricity produced by plantation company PT Alam Raya Mas Kencana at 3.2 MW. Furthermore , the production of which is sold to PLN power will be increased to 4-5 MW.
In addition to installing household customers , PT PLN also installed 32 new special connection to public facilities . A total of 16 built distribution transformer serve about 800 customers. If the network is interconnected with networks in Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu district, it is certain that the power will decrease and even runs out.
Regent Kotabaru H Irhami Ridjani previously said, it's been 23 years that Sengayam society in West Pamukan waiting to get electricity from PT PLN.
